Most of my clients choose to do their portraits in natural park like settings. Butler Park, Mayfield Park, The Zilker Botanical Gardens, and the Capitol lawn are some of my most popular locations. However since these 2 bartenders met downtown, live downtown, and work and play downtown, it was obvious where we needed to shoot their engagement portraits!

We started at their apartment on Red River and one of our first stops, just a couple blocks from their home, was outside the bar where they met, Barbarella. We made our way down 6th Street, made a stop at one of my favorite Austin murals on 5th Street, and ended the session with wine at The Brass House which is not only where Dustin bartends but is also where their ceremony will be held.

I had so much fun getting a little out of my element with this urban session and exploring all of the fun and unique spots that downtown Austin has to offer. I also love the fact that we started Caitlin and Dustin’s session where they met and ended where they will be getting married.
