{Shay’s Maternity Sneak Peek}
I’ve said it before and I know I’ll say it again, having the ability to capture life’s big moments for my friends and people in my life is one of the absolute best parts of my job. Of course it is always a special honor, no matter who the client is, but there is something especially touching when it’s for someone I know personally.
Shay was my manager at Waterloo Ice House and in the past year I have watched her get married, buy her dream house in the country, and now prepare to welcome her first child.
Those who have had the pleasure of knowing Shay know what an extraordinary woman she is.
From the moment I met her Shay’s beautiful balance of strength, compassion, and confidence has been such an inspiration to me.
There is no doubt in my mind that Shay is going to be an exceptional mother because she has already had so much practice! At Waterloo I have watched her be a support system for all of us, treating us all as if we are her children. She is always there to help in any way she can whether it’s getting a shift covered so we can tend to a personal emergency, lending a loving ear to listen to our woes, or to simply give us a hug when we need support. And in so many other ways, the list of selfless acts she has performed could go on and on. I feel confident in saying every person who has passed through the Waterloo doors have had their lives touched by Shay in one way or another. And I think I can speak for all of us when we say how grateful we are to have her in our lives.
I could not have been more over joyed for her when Shay told me she was pregnant or more honored a few months later when she asked me to capture her maternity portraits.
We shot her session at her home in Dripping Springs where we started inside with some studio shots before moving outside to capture Shay’s natural beauty of pregnancy and womanhood surrounded by the natural beauty of the Hill Country and the perfect Texas Sunset.
